The subject for my biography assignment was, you guessed it, my uncle Rich. Rich lives on an acreage near the Iowa Missouri border with his two horses and his dog. In the summertime he grows veggies and last year had some cows. He loved those things. He pumps and heats his own water, and always has work to be done if he wants to stay warm. Wood stoves aren't always a cakewalk. If you read my paper, hopefully you’d find the guy somewhat interesting. That’s got eight pages of descriptions I’m cutting short in this post. If you ever met him in person, undoubtedly you would be somewhat intrigued. Don’t believe me? Here’s a picture of Rich showing off some of the tricks he’s taught his animals. Also as a bonus, hats. My uncle had never been interviewed before, so when I called him I did my best to keep it casual. I got more information than I ever thought I would out of only about an hour. I only wish I could have conducted it in person. Maybe then I could provide a better, more current and detailed description of the man himself. Until then, I hope this glorious picture is enough.
UPDATE: The profile is complete. God I love this ole coot!
